Win Tickets to The Magic of Tony Curtis at the Million Dollar Theater
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — This Saturday, The Magic of Tony Curtis will bring the star himself to Downtown for three events put on by the Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival and the Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation.
Two of Curtis' films, "Houdini" and "Some Like It Hot," will be shown on the screen of the Million Dollar Theater, and a dinner at the Los Angeles Athletic Club offers an additional chance to hear stories from a legendary actor.
Tickets are on-sale now and available for purchase online, but we have five pairs of "Day Pass" tickets to give to readers interested in taking in the two screenings.
"Houdini" screens at 2:30pm, and the pre-show entertainment features a performance by magician Curtis Lovell II. He will perform Curtis' escape stunt from the film.
"Some Like It Hot" plays at 7:30pm. This year marks the film's 50th anniversary.
To win, just leave a comment giving your favorite film that features Tony Curtis. Make sure to include an email address on log-in using your Facebook account. We will close off the contest and 10pm on Thursday and notify winners.

I have to be honest, I don't believe I've seen a Tony Curtis film. Sounds lile I should though - so I am entering!

I hate to be completely un-original but I'd have to say my favorite Tony Curtis film is "Some Like It Hot."
Unless, of course, his cameo in Tarantino's "Jackie Brown" counts. :)

Yeah!!!!!
I love Tony Curtis as "J.P. Shelldrake" in "Lobster Man From Mars" (1989). I am also voting a remake. I hope I win!!!!

Film: "Sweet Smell of Success," definitely. But don't forget TV: "The Persuaders!" Who could forget Curtis as Wealthy Playboy Danny Wilde, romping around with Fellow Wealthy Playboy (and big-haired) Roger Moore?

Tony Curtis was and still is the Prince of Hollywood.

This is a great contest!! One of my all time favorite movies is Some Like it Hot but to pick a film that I love just because of Tony Curtis.....Boeing Boeing! Great film and his energy in it is amazing. It's the only film I can think of where Jerry Lewis is the "straight man". Mr. Curtis plays his role to the hilt. If you haven't seen it you must!!!! (Resubmitting because I think I signed in the wrong way. OOps!)

Definitely The Great Race. Tony Curtis as the suave "The Great Leslie" with Jack Lemmon as his foil "Professor Fate", has to be one of the funniest movies ever made. Add great costumes & music to the mix & you have an all time classic.

And, for the record, "Some Like it Hot" as a comedy, "The Defiant Ones" for drama, and "The Persuaders" for TV.
