Crews disassemble the construction lift on the side of Concerto's 30-story tower.

The Concerto condo tower hit another milestone in the road toward completion today, as crews worked to remove the construction lift from the Figueroa street side of the building.

The Concerto project twittered the news around noon today:

Elevators are in; some are disappointed they won't have any more thrill rides in the manlift cage, those with a fear of heights are relieved

Concerto's first phase includes 348 units. 271 are in the 30-story tower, with 77 in the low-rise loft building on Flower street.

Astanis been pretty animate about having this building not go rental. Apparently he's cash rich enough to ride this out. We'll see!
