DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Sports station 710 ESPN gave its program lineup a shuffle on Friday, unveiling a new schedule that does not include the Denholm & Long show, which had been co-hosted by Downtown resident Dave Denholm.
The Denholm & Long show had most recently occupied the 3 - 7pm time slot, and had been in existence roughly a year.
Denholm confirmed on Friday that he remains with the station and will show up on the air in various roles. Today the pair sent a message to fans on their twitter account.
Thanks so much for all the support!!!!! It is not going unnoticed!!!! Thanks so much and keep in touch! We will as well...Denholm & Long
The drive-time slot now goes to Mason & Ireland, also locally produced out of 710 ESPN's L.A. Live studio.

Too bad. On air he worked in the fact that he lived downtown. We'll miss out on some national exposure; hope he finds his way back on air soon.

I miss the Denholm & Long show! These guys were not only knowledgeable about sports but they were funny too. I mean, radio is entertainment and they made their show both informative and entertaining. I don’t really even follow sports but I enjoyed their show and listened from work almost everyday. Shame guys…miss you both.

The PD at 710 must be autistic. Pete Fox?? Dave Denholm?? Mikey Thompson? This debris isn't fit for Barstow sports talk, let alone LA. How long before he figures out to fire his staff of chimps and go to the national feed? Maybe Dameshek deserves a second try?
I'm amazed at the idiots who work in LA radio? The d-bag who put ManCow on morning sports tal is still employed?? WTF??
