Morning Rotary Names Alex Brideau President
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — The Rotary Club of Los Angeles Morning today introduced Alexander Brideau III as its president for the 2009-2010 term, making him the youngest Rotary president in the Los Angeles area.
Brideau works for the Los Angeles Housing Department in the Budget and Management Services Division. He and his wife Ginny live Downtown with their 11-month-old daughter. Ginny is a previous member of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council board, and both are active members of the community.
In a release, Brideau says that he intends to continue work on the club's tree-planting program and to focus on increasing membership. When Alex's term ends in 2010, the job stays in the family: Ginny is the club's President Elect.
L.A. Morning, which meets at the Los Angeles Athletic Club, is one of two Rotary clubs to meet Downtown. The 100-year-old Rotary Club of Los Angeles meets at the California Club.
