A colorful marcher from last October's Desfile de la Hispanidad en Los Angeles.

Downtowners will either want to head toward Broadway to see the sights or figure out how to navigate around it on Sunday, as the Ecuadorian Independence Day Parade is scheduled to make its way up the street at 10:30am.

The route will end with a festival at Olvera street, with food, arts & crafts and musical groups.

Parade participants will assemble at Broadway and 9th starting at 8am.

Oh, so that's what that loud, obnoxious thumping noise is. I'm glad I planned to stay in today. And have earplugs.

Can someone introduce a bill that would make it illegal to block the streets (regardles of who it is)? That politician would certainly have my vote for the rest of it's life even if it was the most corrupted politician ever!

Wether it is parades, protest marches, movie shoots, block parties, etc. etc. etc!

BTW, I am mexican, pro-immigrants rights, work in the movie industry, against the war and like celelebrations BUT stop closing the streets for F*CK'S SAKE!
