Win Tickets to See Sinbad at Club Nokia

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Sinbad is usually associated with the 1990s, but this Friday, September 11, it will be fresh stand-up on the stage at Club Nokia as the comedian films a special for Comedy Central. Tickets are on sale now, but we've got a chance for a few blogdowntown readers to enjoy the show for free.
Sinbad, officially David Adkins, did four specials for HBO in the 1990s. His 1995 special, "Sinbad - Afros and Bellbottoms," remains one of the network's highest rated comedy specials.
We've got five pairs of tickets to give away to Friday's show, courtesy of Goldenvoice. Want to attend? Just leave and comment telling us why you should win and make sure to include contact info via email or Facebook. Contest closes Wednesday at 8pm.

Sinbad!!! I grew up listening to his comedy and I love him! I remember him from a Different World and the Cosby Show :) Crazy outfits and all. The Sinbad show was awesome too. Pick me, I have a contagious laugh and I'll add to the evening with my goofiness. I could use a good belly laugh!!! After all laughter is the best medicine right? LOL :OP

I deserve tickets to Sinbad's comedy show because i have watched House Guest literally more than a 100 times in my life time and i am his number one fan. Sinbad was the reason why i fell in love with McDonald's. He made that Big Mac look like the greatest hamburger ever created. Also I have never been to a comedy show before so it would awesome for this to be my first!

please don't tell anyone i attened the Hip Hop Sinbad Tour in '97 and my pants were below my buttcheeks. It's just not the same when i do it now.

Oooh!!! I would love to see Sinbad! I've been a fan forever... A Different World, The Sinbad Show... and his stand-up always gets me rollin' with laughter. I want to go!

I would be forever grateful to win two tickets to see Sinbad. My husband and I have always loved watching Sinbad perform. His comedy is clean which is so rare these days. Also, it would be "good therapy" for us to get out. We just lost our 16 yr. old daughter to an undiagnosed disease. I think a good laugh is due. Thank you! Mart

I love going to comedy shows and grew up watching Sinbad. I caught a few episodes of his tv series in the 90s and saw his HBO comedy special. I think he's hilarious and I live a block from club nokia so I would definitely use the tickets!
