There's been a bit of a shakeup in the Financial District copying world. The Fedex Office at Figueroa and Wilshire, formerly a Kinko's, has moved down the block to Flower. In its place has opened a Staples Copy & Print Shop, a new retail service from the office supply store.

It's a little change, but one that could prove a bit confusing for someone in a rush to get those meeting materials done.

Both spots have spent time as bank locations. 835 Wilshire (formerly Kinko's, now Staples) was a branch of the Home Savings & Loan Association in the 1980s. 800 Wilshire (new Fedex Office) was until recently a branch for the Pacific Resource Credit Union.

yep - I was caught up in the confusion in a rush. But the same lady greeter was there (slightly crazy, slightly helpful, but always full of glee) as well as all the old kinko's staff.

Note for anyone making "blueprints" or large sized reproductions such as building plans etc., Staples can make these (cheaper competition to Ford Graphics so I'm told)
