Win Tickets to See MUTEMATH at Club Nokia
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — New Orleans band MUTEMATH comes to Club Nokia on Saturday, October 10, still fresh off the August release of their new album, "Armistice." Tickets for the show are on-sale now, but we've got a few pairs for blogdowntown readers who want to attend courtesy of Goldenvoice.
The band got a GRAMMY nomination in 2008 for the music video for their song "Typical," and the single "Spotlight" reached the top of Billboard's Hot Singles Sales chart earlier this year.
Opening the show is New York band As Tall As Lions.
Want to see the show? We've got five pairs of tickets to give away. Just leave a comment saying why you should win, and make sure to include contact info via email or Facebook. Contest closes Thursday at midnight.

I need to go see Mutemath for free because I'm an active blogger, twitter and facebooker who lives downtown and loves it. Plus I read blogdowntown all the time on twitter and the web! Hook me up!

I'd rather see a New Orleans based MALAMUTE comes to Club Nokia & then attend courtesy of a GoldenRetreiver.
Now if you were only offering Club Nokia tickets for Pee Wee Herman....

I really want to go to the MuteMath show, mostly because I love the new record. I've been trying to find a new way to exercise without going to the gym (isn't the gym boring??!). So I'm following my AMAZING mom's example -- mom's a two-time triathlete (and she's 52) -- and I've started biking and running. At first I liked the biking part, but the running didn't seem like fun at ALL. Then I decided to sit down with my music collection and find a few albums to put on my iPod that I could get motivated by out there on the road. I threw the new MuthMath in there, and since I hadn't listened to it yet, I figured maybe there'd be one track on there that would make running tolerable. That was six weeks ago and it's been one of my two favourite running albums ever since. It's high-energy and so well-produced. I stay on top of my time and the music keeps me in high spirits! I would love to see them live and experience that energy before my very eyes! Thanks! Angela @angeleenie

I live in OC, but blogdowntown makes me want to move into a tiny downtown loft in the greatest city on earth.
THE NERVE of you guys! I'm on PINS AND NEEDLES, waiting to hear that I won but there's NO RESPONSE and ODDS are the BURDEN is on me to ELECTRIFY with this comment! If I don't see MUTEMATH, it will be a LOST YEAR, just CLIPPING(s) of random nonevents. If I push to far, it might BACKFIRE and I'll lose my chance to be in the SPOTLIGHT.
So instead, I bid GOODBYE! On second thought, how about a truce or ARMISTICE, perhaps?

seeing mutemath live for me would be out of Control! as a college student, i've Noticed that i need an occasional break from the Chaos of papers and exams so that I don't Collapse.
ok, so i recognize these puns are Obsolete, considering mutemath's newest album is the one in the Spotlight these days. i guess purchasing tickets for the show is my Plan B, but that's just oh-so-Typical.
being hooked up with tickets would definitely be the most awesome welcome-gift to a new member of the blogdowntown community! ~*
