Billy Corgan Participating in Benefit Show for Injured Redwood Bartender

Laura Ann Masura was injured in a September motorcycle accident.

Laura Ann Masura, a musician and bartender at Downtown's Redwood Bar and Grill, was injured in September when her motorcycle was hit by a car on the PCH.

On Sunday, November 8, dozens of Los Angeles musicians will participate in a benefit show at the Echoplex, all proceeds of which will go to Masura's medical bills.

Slated to play are The Backward Clock Society, featuring Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, Kerry Brown of Ancient Chinese Secrets and Mark Tulin of the Electric Prunes; The Happy Stars featuring Brian Young from the Fountains of Wayne and Joe Skyward from the Posies; The Pulsars (Dave and Harry Trumfio); Tim Rutili (Red Red Meat, Califone); Syd Straw (Golden Paliminoes); Pity Party, and Light FM. Rotary Rachel (Rachel Lichtman of will emcee and DJ between band sets.

Tickets for the show are available for $12 via Ticketweb.

Corgan has also placed two pieces of Smashing Pumpkins memorabilia up for auction on EBay with proceeds benefiting Masura. The drum set that Jimmy Chamberlin used on the Smashing Pumpkins' 1991 album "Gish" is currently at $2,400, while the original Smashing Pumpkins bass guitar that Corgan played at the band’s very first show is currently at $5,600.
