Win Tickets to See Alice Cooper at Nokia Theatre
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — 61-year-old rocker Alice Cooper brings his "Theatre of Death" tour to Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Wednesday, October 28, and we've got tickets for blogdowntown readers who want to be there for the show, courtesy of Goldenvoice.
Cooper, originally Vincent Damon Furnier, got notoriety in the 1960s for a story that had him biting the head off a chicken during a show. 40 years later, Cooper's still got shock left in his stage show.
Opening are Ace Frehley, original guitarist from Kiss, and Southern California rockers Rival Sons.
Want to see the show? We've got three pairs of tickets to give away. Just leave a comment telling us why, and make sure to include contact info via email or Facebook. Contest closes Tuesday at 6pm.

Because my hubby is a closet metal head!

Because I've always enjoyed Alice Cooper and his music. The dude is the greatest AND his ability to still rock the roof off places like the Nokia Theater just go to show how his music franchise is still amazingly thriving and successful.
Also, I would love to see this show because the Rival Sons are one of the best local bands I've ever seen in the Southern California area and I'd REALLY like to see how they do in a huge arena setting!!
PLEASE HOOK ME UP... I COULD USE THE BREAK FROM WORKING 45 HOUR WEEKS WHILE SPENDING 10 HOURS A WEEK IN GRADUATE SCHOOL!!

Because any guy that can "rock out" while living next door to Barry Goldwatter is alright in my book!

I'm not going to lie... I wanna go to see the Rival Sons on a big stage. I'm a poor college and cant afford a $50 ticket. I would love to take my girlfriend (who is also a fan) to see them. Lastly, I'm sick of staring at a text book in a library (it's midterms) and I'd love to catch a show to break up the monotony!

I want to win these tickets because nothing says unforgettable first date to get you back on your feet again like seeing Alice Cooper live!

I make a good candidate because attending this show would furthers my scientific interest in determining whether or not some republicans actually do rock. Also, "I'm hungry for love and its feeding time."

Oh yeah... I'm old and have never seen AC live! I remember being 15 and staying up all night with a friend memorizing and singing the entire Goes to Hell LP and concocting our own bombastic theatrical rock show for when we grew up to be rock stars ... which of course never happened.
But I would relish the opportunity to see the Master live!! Billion Dollar Babies FOREVER!!

Love their art! Caught In A Dream is the best damn song the AC band ever did!! I also agree that Under My Wheels should be on there. Elected too. Dont even get me started on No More Mr. Nice Guy and teenage Frankenstein.

I want to see Alice Cooper, because we are both men with a girl's name.
I have always been teased about 'Brooke' being my name. I always appreciated Alice Cooper because of his name.
Alice Cooper's "Welcome to my Nightmare" was my first introduction to this man's genius.

I was an uncool little tyke when "School's Out" was a hit, but the local tough kids let me hang out when I claimed to be Alice's second cousin. Yeah, yeah, it's not his real name, but they didn't know that, either. When they figured it out I was summarily kicked out of the garage. I finally saw Alice play live in 1980, on his "new wave" tour, and was nearly scalped by a low-flying bottle rocket. That was the year I was Alice Cooper for Halloween, and had to endure smart alecky remarks from folks who told me my KISS make up was all wrong. Pretty please pick me so I can relive my misspent youth -- and take my kid sis as my date!

Love Alice Cooper!!! And it doesn't hurt that I live across the street, no parking hoopla!!! Would love to go! :) On a side note, thanks so much for doing such a great job covering dtla! The site has grown up tremendously over the last several years! <3

My husband and I enjoyed nothing more than getting dressed up and spending the evening with Alice. The last thing we were able to do together was to see Alice in Albuqueque two years ago. We also had tickets to see the man on Halloween in Phoenix and my husband was just to weak to make the trip. My young husband died of colon cancer in February of 2008. I think I am now ready to go and see Alice again for us both. Cheers, Jewels Ferguson

Because I have no interest in the latest vampire craze going on in the movies yet I am a old school goth from the 70's who needs a fix of some "Theater of Death" served up "Old Shool Style" by Alice himself!

Alice Cooper!!! Alice Cooper!!! What else is there to say? Oh yeah, Alice Cooper!! I want to go.
