Oskar and clan were already in line for three hours when small signs for Regal screening times were placed by security.

As celebrities walked the glitzy red carpet on Nokia Plaza on Tuesday night for the premiere of "Michael Jackson's This Is It," Oskar sat in a much more modest queuing line next to L.A. Live's West Garage.

The young moviegoer from East Los Angeles, along with his brother and two sisters, were the very first in line for the kickoff 9pm screening at the new Regal Cinemas.

The foursome didn't leave their position in line to chance, arriving at L.A. Live eight hours before their screening.

"My mom made our outfits. She didn't buy them, she sewed them," said Oskar, pointing to the glittered vests and jackets set aside so they wouldn't catch dust from the unseasonal brisk winds.

"We're excited," he says, adding that they were also one of the first ones in line to buy tickets a few days ago. "My brother, he dances like Michael really good."

The waiting in line had taken its toll, though. "Right now, he's tired."
