Young residents enjoy the pumpkin patch at the 2008 "Halloween Party for Downtown L.A. Kids."

Grand Hope Park will be overrun with costumed tykes on Saturday, as the Community Halloween Party for Downtown L.A. Kids returns for its second year. The event, sponsored by Downtown Center BID, Ralphs and FIDM, currently has RSVPs from 360 kids and 400 adults.

Costumes are required for kids and suggested for adults. Draws include a bouncy house, treats, crafts and the chance to socialize with other central city toddlers. Pre-carved pumpkins can be brought to be judged.

In accordance with Grand Hope Park rules, dogs are forbidden, even if they're dressed up.

The event runs from 5 - 8pm. RSVPs are accepted on Downtown Center's website.
