Huey Lewis and the News perform at a 2008 show in Virginia.

Huey Lewis and the News bring the "Power of Love" to Downtown on Thursday, November 12, performing at L.A. Live's Club Nokia. Tickets for the show are on-sale now, but we've got a few pairs for readers looking to go "Back in Time" courtesy of Goldenvoice.

The group rose to prominence in the mid-1980s in part thanks to its involvement in the "Back to the Future" movies. While the group has had a number of line-up changes over the years, Lewis continues as front-man on vocals and harmonica.

Want to see the show? We've got five pairs of tickets to give away. Just leave a comment telling us why you want to win, and be sure to leave contact info via email or Facebook. Contest closes Wednesday at 6pm.

This was my very first concert ever. Pops took me when I was a little kid back home in NC. I would love to see if they still "have it"

Hook me up!

Though they were big mostly during the 80s, their music is timeless. I have never seen them in concert, though I had a chance once. They came to a nearby city on their 'Fore' tour. I was working at a fast food restruant at the time. Alot of us wanted to go, so our manager said that anyone wanting to go to the concert should tell her so we could be scheduled off that night. Several of the girls, and all of us guys (there were only four of us) lined up to be put on the list. Well, it just so happened that our manager was a manhater because of some bad relationship she was in.....when the schedule came out, all of the girls (about eight of them) were scheduled off and NONE of us guys were. When asked why this was, she wouldnt give us answer, just had this "I won" look on her face. Anyway, I missed a once in a lifetime chance to see my favorite band live....they never came back to that city again. I have many of their albums though and I play them quite often. Id like to find a DVD with all of their videos on it. That would just be way cool!!

Huey Lewis and the News epitomized the "California Sound" for me growing up. It's just FEEL GOOD music and I swear every time I hear "This is it" or "Heart of Rock ad Roll" I just can't help breaking out in song.

This is the one and only music act from the 80's that I can stand to listen to. Mainly because their music is straight up timeless rock and roll.

I was 8 years old when Back to The Future was released. No doubt about it, I have some strong feelings when I hear "Power of Love" baby! Yeah, I wanna go bbaaaaaddddd!

I've heard great things about Nokia, and have always enjoyed Huey and the boys -- it would be great to walk over, have dinner at RockinFish or the Farm, and see the show.

I say Huey Lewis and the News with the Tower of Power horn section at the Fabulous Forum back in the late 80's with my best friend Dave. Best show we ever saw and we were so pumped up by the music that we did donuts in the wet Hollywood Park parking lot in my uncles RX-7 afterwards. Donuts turned into slipping and sliding while we blared Sports on the TAPE player! Would love to see them again. Thanks.

A few years ago there was a charity event in San Francisco featuring (local) celebrities as bartenders, including the mayor and Huey Lewis. I went to Huey's section of the bar and ordered a dirty martini. Huey sheepishly confessed that he liked martinis but wasn't sure what made a martini dirty. So I instructed him to make a martini, then pour a little olive juice in it. After he made it I asked him to try it so he could taste the difference. "Oh, that's a great twist!" he said, to which I responded, "That's the power of olive".

True story.

And, yes, I would like to win the tickets!

I love love love Huey Lewis and the News! My parents never let me go to concerts when everyone else went and I would love to see them now! The eighties rock and Huey Lewis is a huge part of that! I would love tickets to see them!

When I was a kid, I waited in line at the local Warehouse with my much older cousin to get tickets. We finally got them and I got so excited and starting talking about how fun the concert was going to be. She looked at me and said, "what? You're not going. You're too young. I'm going with my friends."
I'd love to see him perform "The heart of Rock and Roll."

You should give me tickets to this show because I am really, really good at the air-guitar. I have a buddy who is pretty skilled in the air-keytar, too.

This is the one band that I've heard is amazing in concert, yet I haven't seen them yet. Damn, I really, really want to go. Who can forget Huey's stellar performance in Back to the Future? Anyone, anyone? These guys are a rock institution, please, please help fellow rock fan out.

I want to see them because they have the power of love. Oh yeah, I'm also asian, if that will help.

If I am going on a flashback to the 80s, I don't want "Huey Lewis and the Olds" -- I want Pee Wee. Aren't ya gonna get any Pee Wee tickets?

Thanks everyone for entering. I'm closing off comments now, and will be contacting the winners this evening. Good luck!
