During the LA riots, I drove thru LBC looking for this girl's house cuz she said she was gonna be there for the night. I got lost, and somehow ended up along a row of armored personel carrier. We all know how much Snoop loves LBC even tho he lives in The Country, which is across the street from where my wife lived all her life. And uhm.. we're going to Happy Hour at Checkers Downtown Thursday anyway... I'm also not above begging.

Because Doggystyle (in particular, Ain't No Fun), one of the greatest records of all time, is what made me want to leave small town Virginia for the the wild west of Southern California. And I still play that record, on LP, at least once a month. I know every word. And I've still never seen Snoop perform.

I probably don't 'deserve' to win, but I really want to go and don't have the funds to buy tix!

Seriously, I have been a big fan of his since his "side kick" debut on The Chr*nic :) Definitely an innovator in the hip hop space! I mean, look at how many times he has reinvented himself?! on top of that, his reality show was funny, and he seems like a very good father!!! :)

Snoop Doggy Dizzle is the Shizzle. Proud alumni of CSULB and big fan since he was on Dre's Chronic album and Half Baked as the "Scavenger Smoker"in 1998!

I bought NWA's Straight Outta Compton in 1990, as a 12 year old. Saw Deep Cover in 1992, knowing Dre was dope, bought the soundtrack and knew that Snoop was going to hit. 17 years later(!) still have not seen Snoop live.

i almost went to his high school. my single claim to fame, if you can even call it that. i think i owe it to him to go see one of this shows since i've been riding his coat tails since i was 15.

Have always been a fan of Snoop.
Actually ended up on a plane w/ him back from chicago a few months ago. He didn't look quite so gangster with his fuzzy Lakers blanket and pillow :)
Would be a great show to see.

Snoop Dogg is my spirit animal. No joke.
Francisco Flores on November 16, 2009, at 03:57PM – #12
I deserve the tickets because all summer my ipod only played the next 4 albumns in rotation : The beatle's The white Albumn, Blackstar's S/T, the Notorious BIG ready to die and Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle.

I deserve to win because it would be hilarious for me to take my boyfriend - he's a Marine about to go to Afghanistan - to yet another concert he has no idea is happening. The last two times were Britney Spears, and a Common concert. Kanye & a bunch of other peeps showed up as surprise guests, it was awesome! My boyfriend sort of hated Britney, but he looooovvvesss Snoop, he gets down & nasty every time he comes on the radio and he tries to get freaky with me... hehe. It'd make our night if we got tickets, especially because we're trying to make the most of every second until he gets deployed. Thanks! :)

I would love to see this concert. This man is a legendary rapper and has one of the best entertainment personalities out there. I've seen him on virtually every show (Conan to "The Man Show" where we saw his waist-high Mary Jane waitress).
Holidae In was basically my senior year song in high school. I know why too many of his song lyrics by heart after listening to his songs on repeat. I was definitely that guy in high school bumping The Next Episode driving out of the parking lot.
Please blogdowntown, pick me!

Seeing Snoop live would be great. I'm all about wanting to see legends do their thing. When it comes to hip hop, it doesnt get much better than Snoop. From the first time his voice appeared on wax to his latest song, he is a master craftsman. Hope I win. And even if I don't, lets all be sane and act courteous to each other in downtown. It's fun to see this great city coming to life!

I deserve the tickets cause, "it ain't no fun if the homies can't have none."

I would love to go to this show because I've been a HUGE fan ever since my best friend and I bonded over our total misinterpretations of Doggystyle upon its release. We were in 7th grade so, although we thought we were bad ass for listening to Snoop, and we were advanced enough to understand many of the songs, I don't think either of us realized the full glory of that album until a year or 2 later. I still laugh at how I can sing every single word to so many Snoop songs when they come on at parties so I know it'd be a great show!
Bobak Nayebdadash on November 16, 2009, at 04:29PM – #18
I should go because I am a devout fan of both Mr. Dogg and Mr. Quik.
These gentlemen exemplify the highest quality lyrics with unmatched gangster "flow". I appreciate these qualities in both the above and would like to further my experience by attending their live concert.
Both are huge influences on my life since "Quik is the Name" and "Doggystyle" came into my life. I try to live my life by the credo that these men express of 'get $ and **** bitches'. Without a doubt this attitude has led to my success. Unfortunately I was unable to attain tickets to the aforementioned event and would certainly appreciate ticket from those at blogdowntown.com.
All kidding aside.....I do an incredible "cowboy" dance and if I win I plan to dance all the way to the concert and keep it going throughout the show. Top that people!
Best Regards,

I would love to go to Snoop's show take my bff because she had a rough year. Her man cheated 3 times & got caught & she was harassed by these girls! She also got laid off her job & haven't been anywhere fun in awhile! She needs to get her mind off of things. I love Snoop & Nipsey Hussle. I think it would uplift her spirits. PLEASE! I never win anything!

I've been waiting for this offer of tickets since I first heard about this show two months ago. Props to Blogdowntown for always getting the goods!
Seriously, as you may know I used to be a rapper and am a first-generation west coast artist. I know Snoop Dogg and D.J.Quik personally. As a matter of fact, I was in D.J. Quik's camp for five years before I came downtown.
As a community activist for Skid Row, I don't have the time to continue my relationships in the music industry, but seeing my old friends and hearing that classic era of hip-hop again would certainly be worthwhile.
I don't think anybody else has a closer connection to these artists than myself. Therefore I should get the tickets because they would mean that much more to me.
Even better, if Blogdowntown could arrange for a "meet and greet", for me to be able to speak with my long-time friends for a couple of short moments would be priceless and quite possibly re-connect me back to the music industry!
That would make a wonderful early Christmas present! (hint- hint).

My fiancé and I just moved DTLA and we absolutely love it. BUT we are rookies down here....we are still trying to learn the neighborhood and the fun/great places to eat, hang, and see!! We need help! Like a tour guide, reccommendations!! Lol. Which is one of the reasons I love this blog. It's awesome!! Going to see Snoop would be a great chance to get out and learn more about our new city we call home. We are from the Snoop era, we grew up listening to his tapes and hoped our parents wouldn't find them and toss due to Snoop's content. We love LA and would love to see Snoop on Thurs. Thanks so much!

If I win these tickets, then my wife says that I do not have to present at a community meeting on Thursday. I love DLANC and Downtown LA, but I think I love Snopp Dogg more... Please get me out of this! Thanks,

Haven't seen DJ Quick or Snoop in concert. I live less than a mile from the Nokia center and I would walk to the concert and back just to go see them. I think that would be the best thing since I would have drinks before I go and would be too drunk to drive back home.

I deserve these tickets because I just had a baby four weeks ago and if you have kids you know that as great and adorable as they are sometimes a break is good...and what better way to "get a break" then with Snoop & Quik =]. Not only that but my husband is a huge Snoop fan and it'd be nice to give him a gift for being such a great and supportive father & husband!
James Lin on November 17, 2009, at 11:29AM – #33
I need to win these tickets! Why does Snoop Dogg carry an umbrella everywhere he goes? Fo Drizzle. Come on, that joke got people laughing...gimme them tickets!

Last year, I was living in awful upstate New York and I woke up super early and waited in line in the snow to get Snoop tickets for a tiny venue that seemed so cool I thought it would sell out right away. I was the second person in line. Thinking I had the keys to the hottest ticket in town, I bought the max- six tickets. . . that I was barely able to unload because no one wanted to go. The show never even sold out for the tiny venue. The upstate NY crowd was so lame that both 1) no one liked Snoop and 2) no one had $30. SO, I need to cleanse my palate and see Snoop in his natural habitat- LA!!!
Albert Kinderman on November 17, 2009, at 05:51PM – #38
I should get the tickets as the last entry before the 6 pm deadline. 8=)
