Members of the Los Angeles Ice Theater perform at the opening of the 2009-2010 Downtown on Ice season at Pershing Square.

KTLA's "Free Ice Skating Party to Kick Off The Holidays" comes to Pershing Square on Wednesday morning, November 25, offering free skate time between 7 and 11am. The station's Morning News will be doing a live show from the Downtown park.

As usual, Los Angeles' weather isn't exactly getting into the skating spirit. Wednesday's high is 82 degrees, which should have for a warm time on the ice.

The 70 foot by 50 foot rink opened to the public last Thursday, and is open daily through January 18, 2010. Skating is normally $6, plus $2 for shoe rental.

The live broadcast will air from 5 - 10am.
