DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Singer LeAnn Rimes took the stage on L.A. Live's Nokia Plaza this evening to help AEG and the L.A. Kings kick off holiday festivities in and around the entertainment complex. The streets around the complex are aglow, with 94 lighted angels and 265,000 snowfall LED lights. On Nokia Plaza, the metal LED Christmas tree has been joined by the Kings Holiday Ice, Downtown's second seasonal outdoor ice skating rink.
The event also marked the kickoff of AEG's Season of Giving campaign, which asks the public to join with AEG and other companies to raise funds and generate awareness in support of non-profit organizations working on issues of hunger, homelessness and healthcare. A different charity will be highlighted at the ice rink each night.
The 70 by 50 foot ice rink will be open daily through December 31. An hour on the ice is $10, including skate rental.

I can't wait to try the ice rink! It's so Christmas-y down there. Yay for downtown!
