Win Tickets to See Kinky at the Conga Room

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Not sure what's going to be under the tree on Friday? What if it were a pair of tickets to see L.A. faves Kinky at the Conga Room on the night before New Year's Eve?
The Latin-rock-funk-alternative band is no stranger to Downtown, having made multiple appearances at Grand Performances and having played the L.A. Live complex last year with Calle 13. Tickets for the December 30 show are on sale now via the Conga Room website, but we've got two pairs for blogdowntown readers who want to put something fun under their own tree.
The Mexican band's 2006 release Reina garnered three Latin Grammy nominations, and the band's release Rarities moved their electro dance party sound closer to a crossover audience.
Mixing for the Pre-New Year's night is Santa Cruz' DJ Paw.

I should win because during an internship in college I did a lot of the grunt marketing work for the band, however never had the chance to see them. Plus i'm a proud downtown resident.

Because if I win, it would be a much better alternative to getting wasted at the bars, ending up lying face down in a gutter, waking up with a half eaten burrito in my hand and missing a shoe that curiously ended up in front of my door 3 months later...

I will go to the show carbon-free. That's right, I'll ride my new bike! I've seen Kinky twice- once at Grand Performances and once at the KCRW show. Huge fan and I have all their albums.
