Win Tickets to See Chromeo and Peanut Butter Wolf at Club Nokia on New Year's Eve
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Still working out how you're going to ring in the start of 2010? Electrofunk duo Chromeo and VJ Peanut Butter Wolf are set to headline quite the New Year's Eve event at Club Nokia, and we've got tickets for blogdowntown readers who want to see the show.
Also on the bill are Austin, TX-based VEGA and local acts The Gaslamp Killer and (thee) Mike B.

I've been a downtown resident for five years, and have seen a remarkable amount of growth and development. I've even gotten some friends to move and join me. I really want to spend NYE downtown and check out this awesome show. I'm a huge fan of both and would really like to celebrate the end of the '00s at Club Nokia!

I should win because I have their albums and I'm really a big fan! My fav song is "Mama's boy by Chromeo" I really would like to go but last min canceled plans made me miss getting tix early and no money. I also live right down the street so no fear in DUI's!

I wrote an entire paper on the tech specs of Club Nokia because I was so excited about the new venue for school... but was never able to afford tickets to a good show to check it out for myself - had to judge it via youtube uploads. Would loooove to see a great nye production!

I should win because I'm a big fan of chromeo... Couldn't see them at audiotistic because I had no money and no ride to get there... Would Love to go! Heard they put an amazing live show together... Would be the only christmas present I got this year... Introduce a lot of people to there music... Now there all fans... I would appreciate it to the most High... If I had the money, I would definitely pay for it... So worth it... Unfortunately, been jobless and still looking... It would make my new year so optimistic... Tell me what's good blogdowntown... I should win ! I have been listening to electronic music my life and I love to dance. Last year I didn't have a nye my bestfriend died and we didn't get a chance to party one last time. Sso this would be a super event for me and my new girlfriend to go and remember my friends life and get down to some amazzing electronic funk and great mash ups! I should go because my husband and I are huge fans of all these guys, especially Gaslamp Killer! My husband and I tried to get tickets but with Christmas and our 7 year old son, we sort of sacrificed our NYE plans to give him wonderful memories with presents under the tree. Our revised plan for NYE was to dance in our living room listening to PBW and Gaslamp on the stereo. If I get picked to go, I will write a review for your blog and my sister in law promised to babysit our son. ; )

just started getting into Chromeo and really like their stuff, but caught Peanut Butter Wolf at three of his 999 gigs earlier this fall--he's awesome! would love to get two tix to this. plus, we can just walk there since we live only a few blocks away! you would be giving tix to the reader who would provide the least environmental impact :) thanks!!

Count me in for the contest! My boyfriend and I would love celebrating the first few moments of 2010 with Chromeo. Both of us are strapped for cash at the moment, so going out seemed like it was out of the question until I stumbled upon this post.
Personally, I have a lot of fond memories from exploring downtown when I went to USC. It's great to see how the area's changed so much with the contrast of LA Live not that far from all the historic downtown buildings.
In exchange for the tickets, I'd be more than happy to write up a blog post with pictures from the concert. Kicking off the New Year in my favorite part of the city would be amazing!

Dear Blog Downtown,
I think I should win a set of tickets because I have been an EXEMPLARY Los Angeles citizen in 2009: I barely drove at all!! (I supported LA mass transit by taking buses and subways everywhere. I also walked a lot.) So not only did I help the environment, but I helped keep LA roads free of clutter and bad driving (on days I decided to have a drink, of course). Taking mass trans also supports local jobs. Plus, I have had to brave a lot of crazy characters that take the Metro system... no easy feat!
And I PROMISE you that if I win tickets this New Year's Eve... I promise that I will WALK HOME from the Nokia Theatre. That's right: I will enjoy the music, dance my heart out, drink lots of champagne... and nobody will have to worry about me injuring myself or any other innocent civilians. Hey!
It would be great to win CHROMEO tix because the year 2009 has been nothing short of BRUTAL! As a struggling musician, not only did a bunch of my live gigs get cancelled... but my Survival Jobs dried up too. Still, I'm toughing it out in downtown LA because I love this neighborhood!!

Would love to attend, and here are a few reasons.
First off I love Peanut Butter Wolf & Chromeo. Big fans of both (more so PBW to be honest though) and would appreciate the night of music. Second, would love to start 2010 with my fiancee and enjoy a lovely night out. 2009 was bad but we survived it and deserve the enjoyable evening. Lastly, been hanging downtown for a few years now. I love DTLA.
