DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Navigating Downtown can be tricky enough without running into an unexpected street closure. We'll try to help you out, posting notices from film shoots that include full street closures.
4th street between Hill and Broadway will be closed on Saturday, January 16, between 10am and 5pm as Moxie Pictures shoots an advertisement for Volkswagen.
The same production will also have a westbound closure on 7th street between Olive and Grand from 9am and 3pm.
DESCRIPTION OF SCENE: PENDING COMMUNITY SURVEY Driving scenes. Exterior dialogue. Occasional traffic & pedestrian control. Rain effects. 2 condors and trucks in parking lot on the corner. Picture vehicles. Generator. Camera & equipment on the sidewalk, in the curb lane, & across the street.

I can understand the Cadillac folks filming in the already over-filmed 2nd St. tunnel, but what does VW plan to get out of a shoot on that single block of 4th St., with Yoshinoya Beef Bowl and/or Club Fantasy in the background?
