Navigating Downtown can be tricky enough without running into an unexpected street closure. We'll try to help you out, posting notices from film shoots that include full street closures.

Traveling east across Downtown this weekend could prove difficult, with Independent Media shutting down both 4th and 6th streets on Saturday and Sunday to film a spot for Quaker State.

4th will be down between Spring and Main, while 6th will be shut down between Broadway and Spring. Both closures will run from 6am to 6pm.

Those needing to get into the Historic Core are advised to use 2nd for locations on Spring street and 9th for addresses on Main.

DESCRIPTION OF SCENE: Pending Community Survey Atmospheric smoke effects. Camera in car and on a tripod. Driving scenes. Driving shot. Equipment on sidewalk, curb lane and across the street. Exterior dialogue. Exterior establishing shots. Occasional traffic and pedestrian control. Near hits & misses. Stunt driving. Wetting of the street. Car chases through traffic. Condor and crane. FILML.A. MONITOR REQUIRED 5:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.

Film closure information is subject to change. For more information about filming activities, consider subscribing to FilmL.A.'s eNotifications.
