DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — It may seem like the fall edition was just yesterday, but dineLA Restaurant Week returns this weekend for another spring run. 30 Downtown restaurants are participating in the promotion, in which eateries create special menus to match set pricing plans.
Specials kick off this Sunday, January 24, and run through Friday, February 5, with the exception of Saturday, January 30.
The restaurants participating fall into one of three price categories: Deluxe Dining ($16 lunch / $26 dinner), Premiere Dining ($22 / $34) and Fine Dining ($28 / $44).
A full list of restaurants can be found on the dineLA site.

I think the problem with restaurants in Downtown is that they are too scattered. If we had a restaurant district, or restaurant row like San Diego's gas lamp quarter there would be more foot traffic and adequate parking. Only place I can think of is 7th and Fig foodcourt and Little Tokyo, but the variety is still limited.

I can't wait for this! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

We took advantage of Dine LA and went to Zucca last night. What a beautiful restaurant! The ambiance is exceptional, along with the service. Unfortunately, the food was lacking and tasted like it had been prepared and had been sitting in warming dishes. But forget the food and go for the ambiance.

We were going to take advantage of this to try out The Farm @ LA Live for lunch on Sunday, but the hostess didn't know anything about it. She knew what it was, but she didn't know whether they were participating, and looked but didn't find any special menu or other indication, even though it's online (http://discoverlosangeles.com/play/dining/restaurantweek/aapartdetail.jsp?id=30440), so we went to Rock'n Fish instead.
If you do want to check this out, I'd suggest calling the restaurant first to make sure the staff know it's going on.
