Navigating Downtown can be tricky enough without running into an unexpected street closure. We'll try to help you out, posting notices from film shoots that include full street closures.

5th street between Spring and Broadway will be closed overnight on Friday as Bonanza Productions films scenes for the TV pilot "Shameless." The street will be shut down from 6pm to 3am.

The pilot appears to be a Showtime-destined adaptation of a British drama by the same name, with William H. Macy starring.

DESCRIPTION OF SCENE: Pending Community Survey Atmospheric smoke effects. Brandishing of weapons. Driving scenes. Equipment on sidewalk, in curb lane & across the street. Interior and exterior dialogue. Occasional traffic and pedestrian control. Wetting of street. Filming in alley behind location. Beebe light/ nite sun. Camera car. Condors, cranes, generator, & scissor lift. FILML.A. MONITOR REQUIRED 5:00 P.M. - 3:00 A.M.

Film closure information is subject to change. For more information about filming activities, consider subscribing to FilmL.A.'s eNotifications.
