Navigating Downtown can be tricky enough without running into an unexpected street closure. We'll try to help you out, posting notices from film shoots that include full street closures.

The intersection of Wilshire and Hope is a film favorite, easy to shut down since both streets are within a block of their dead ends. On Sunday, one block in all directions will be closed from 7am to 10pm as Fox shoots scenes for the Kiefer Sutherland-starring "24."

The Wilshire closure runs from Flower street to Grand Avenue, while Hope street will be shut down from 6th to 7th. One day earlier, the same blocks will be closed for "The Social Network.".

"24" also closed the same blocks on Wednesday night, January 27, but a snafu kept FilmLA's email notice from going out until yesterday. Paper notices were distributed before the shoot.

DESCRIPTION OF SCENE: Weapons brandished. Driving shots. Emergency vehicles with flashing lights. Equipment on sidewalk, curb lane and across the street. Interior dialogue. Exterior dialogue. Occasional traffic and pedestrian control. Wetting of the street. Condor and crane. Generator. Picture vehicles. Bus move at 5th St & Grand Ave. Talent climbing down fire escape, running across Grand Ave. Camera ladder on 6th St & Grand Ave. People and equipment on library steps. Near hits & misses.

Film closure information is subject to change. For more information about filming activities, consider subscribing to FilmL.A.'s eNotifications.
