Marchers protest LAUSD education funding in January of 2009.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — A Thursday afternoon protest march in support of state education funding will impact afternoon commutes in the Historic Core. Participants in the "Save Public Education Rally" are scheduled to protest outside the Reagan state office building on Spring street from 5 to 6:30pm.
The event is part of a series of statewide protests about how the state's budget crisis is affecting public education.
Participants are scheduled to assemble on Hill street between 4th and 5th starting at 2pm, and an LAPD event notice includes mention of a bus from Cal State Fullerton dropping off marchers. The march will go north to 4th street and then east to Spring before arriving at the Reagan building.

All the traffic headaches that many will feel on Thursday...I love love love downtown protests! Makes us a real DOWNTOWN!

I agree with Ginny... though drivers may honk and honk and end up getting home late, it's a small price to pay for the exercise of public protest and free assembly

A protest happens regarding the education of hundreds of thousands of college students and you only cover that there might be traffic?
