Southern rocker Shooter Jennings drops by the Grammy Museum on Thursday, March 25, to talk about his new album "Black Ribbons," and we've got tickets for blogdowntown readers interested in hearing the singer-songwriter perform selections from the album and discuss his inspirations and process.

“As a Museum dedicated to the study of the creative process, we are thrilled to welcome the creators of such a high concept album to our stage,” said Grammy Museum Executive Director Robert Santelli in a release. “Black Ribbons contains some fascinating ideas, so we’re excited to offer fans one of the first opportunities to hear Jennings illuminate his songwriting and instrumentation in such a personal way.”

Jennings will be joined by the album’s producer, Dave Cobb, and GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Vice President Scott Goldman will moderate the discussion. Jennings will be signing autographs after the event.

The show takes place at 8pm, in the 200-seat Grammy Museum Sound Stage.

Want to be there? We've got three pairs of tickets to give away. Just leave a comment letting us know why you should win. Make sure to use an account where we can contact you. Contest closes Wednesday at 6pm.

I should win because Shooter would want me to win. Or at least I think he would...that Shooter is a stand up guy.

I should go because I've loved him since his first album! His daddy taught him well, and now he is expanding it even further. I love Shooter!

I stumbled onto Shooter through a Times article, I found the musical influences and themes of the record to be compelling, in tune with current events and I purchased the record as soon as it came out. Heck I even own the vinyl (and would love for him to sign it). One word:AMAZING. With influences of Pink Floyd, Art Bell and then throw in a little paranoia for good measure and you have ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS of the YEAR!!! Simply amazing. I have turned many a people to Black Ribbons and each one of them loves the record. I would absolutely LOVE to see him play live and hear more about this amazing record. Please, Please let me go!!!!!!

I would love to win tickets because, my son is 17 and is a song writer and musician. I think he would get so much wonderful information from an established musician. Just to hear his songs and how he brought them to life. Whom better to learn from then someone who's living it everyday.
