WP24 Restaurant and Lounge Opens on Ritz-Carlton's 24th Floor
The Downtown skyline is reflected off a glass partition in the WP24 Lounge on the 24th floor of the Ritz-Carlton L.A. Live.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — The dining half of Wolfgang Puck's asian-inspired WP24 quietly opened its doors this Monday, joining the more casual lounge space that opened last week. Located on the 24th floor of the Ritz-Carlton hotel at L.A. Live, the spaces offer a birds-eye view of the Downtown skyline and the entertainment complex below.
The north-facing lounge will suit those looking for a Downtown view. Cocktails are priced at $14, and popular choices over the first week have included the Jack Rose, with Laird's Applejack Brandy, pomegranate and lemon, and the Dragon's Fire, which features Herradura Anejo, grapefruit, jalapeno and Thai basil.
Food selections include sushi rolls and other asian offerings. General Manager Allison Williams said today that guests have gravitated toward lobster and prawn spring rolls ($14 each), the Sichuan Chicken "Dan Dan" dumplings with ground peanuts and chili ($12) and the sushi ($12 - $24).
The 65-seat restaurant is currently offering limited tables as it gets up to speed. Reservations will soon be offered via OpenTable, but currently require a phone call.
Both the restaurant and lounge are open Monday through Saturday, 5pm to 11pm. The lounge adds Sunday hours on May 2, and the restaurant will be adding breakfast, lunch and a Sunday brunch shortly.
The 123-room Ritz-Carlton sits atop the 878-room JW Marriott, and below the 224-unit Residences at the Ritz-Carlton in the 54-story tower at L.A. Live. LA Market, the only other restaurant in the structure, opened in February and features a menu by chef Kerry Simon.
To find WP24, enter the Ritz-Carlton's lobby off of Georgia Street and take the elevator to the 24th floor.
