LAPD Tuesday released these photos of Brian Alexik, 33, wanted on warrants connected to weapons and counterfeiting.

Last Monday, Brian Alexik evaded officers by escaping through a back window in his unit at South Park's Reserve Lofts, leaving behind loaded weapons, counterfeit money and drugs. One week later, police are still searching for Alexik, and they're asking for the public's help in finding the man who they believe to be armed and dangerous.

Alexik, 33, is wanted on three felony counts: possession of assault weapons, possession of a short barrel shotgun, and of being a convicted felon with a gun. Federal Secret Service agents are investigating the counterfeiting charges.

LAFD was first to respond to Alexik's unit in the Reserve Lofts, at Olympic and Olive, after a neighboring resident smelled gasoline. They called LAPD when they were unable to get a response from inside the unit.

When officers entered they found evidence that Alexik was illegally manufacturing weapon parts for illegal weapons and printing counterfeit currency.

Photos of Alexik were released today in the hopes that someone might have information on his whereabouts. In a release, LAPD asks anyone with information on Alexik to call LAPD Major Crimes Division, Detective Daniel Logan at 213-486-7386.
