Today is Monday, May 17, and budget talk moves to the full City Council today for a debate over projected revenues and potential layoffs. In committees, a new CRA head gets closer to confirmation and the Convention Center audit gets discussed.

MONDAY: City Council takes a special 9am session to begin debate over the 2010-2011 budget and just how many city workers will have to be laid off. A pair of amending motions attempt to restore anticipated revenue removed by the Budget and Finance committee.

Discussion falls under CF 10-0600.

At Council, budget debate continues for both the current and upcoming fiscal years.

Planning and Land Use Management is cancelled for the week, but will have a new start time when it returns. The Tuesday meetings are being bumped back from 2 to 2:30pm.

At Audits and Governmental Efficiency, CF 09-2314 is a discussion of audit results for the Convention Center. The reports from the Controller's officer came out in September and December.

WEDNESDAY: Council meets, as do three committees.
