Sports network ESPN today announced a second show its L.A. studios, located Downtown in the L.A. Live entertainment complex. "Nación ESPN" will debut in the first quarter of 2011 on ESPN Deportes, the network's Spanish-language channel.

The show, modeled after the network's "SportsNation," will be hosted by David Faitelson and Adriana Monsalve. A release this morning describes the concept as a "sports television show fueled by fan interaction and focused on fun." Viewers can interact with the show via phone, email and social networks.

The L.A. Live facility, ESPN's first on the West Coast, has a pair of studios and three control rooms. It opened on April 6, 2009, becoming the home of the 10pm (1am Eastern) broadcast of "Sportscenter," the network's flagship show.

"Nación ESPN" will be the first show to shoot in the larger of the two studio spaces. "That doesn't mean its going to be the only show in there," said Judi Cordray, Vice President and General Manager of ESPN's L.A. facility.

The show makes a good fit for the facility, Cordray said. "We've always been interested in doing something from Deportes and reaching our Hispanic audience."

Approximately 90 people work in the L.A. facility. The new show will add to that total, but the exact number of new staffers has not yet been finalized.
