Cyclists travel down 2nd street in January of 2009.

Pershing Square's cleverly named "Neighbor Day Weekend" takes place this Sunday, June 27, offering a variety of activities in and around Downtown's most central park.

After a 9am yoga warmup, the Discovery Bike Ride will take two-wheeled participants on a roughly 18.5 mile jaunt that covers just about all the Downtown bases, including City Hall, the Cornfields Park, Joel Bloom Square in the Arts District, the 4th and 6th street bridges, the Broadway corridor, the 3rd street tunnel, Grand Hope Park, L.A. Live, Good Samaritan Hospital and the Historic Core.

Most of the route will be flat, and the pace will be leisurely. Helmets are required.

Once back at the park, Downtowners can check out the Art-Squared Gallery, arts and crafts, and live music.
