Today is Monday, June 28, and in a quiet week at City Hall the council will consider a parcel tax that would shift payment for library services off the general fund. Also on the agendas are an MOU for employment data, charter bus funding and the CRA's annual budget.

MONDAY: Public Safety and Budget and Finance committees meet.

At Budget & Finance is CF 10-1057, the library funding parcel tax that last week was moved forward by the Arts, Parks, Health & Aging committee.

CF 10-1077 is a motion to accept the $1.3 million that AEG and the Jackson estate recently announced they would donate to the city as reimbursement for costs from last year's memorial service for pop singer Michael Jackson.

TUESDAY: Council meets, as does Planning & Land Use Management committee.

Two items from committee are also at Council. The Jackson motion is item 12, while item 15 is the library parcel tax.

Item 16 is CF 10-0646, approval of the CRA's $586 million budget for 2010-2011.

Item 21 is CF 09-1547-S1, a motion to pay the $142,000 owed for last year's Downtown on Ice at Pershing Square.

WEDNESDAY: Council and the Housing, Community & Economic Development committee meet.

At Housing, Community & Economic Development, CF 10-0992 is a motion to approve an MOU between the CRA and the state's Employment Development Department that would allow CRA access to confidential employment data that would be used in the agency's Downtown Market Study.

At Council, CF 10-0082 is a look at funding for the city's charter bus program, which provides buses for school and community groups. Proposition A funding is in a deficit, and the search for other funding sources includes the potential use of unallocated neighborhood council funds.
