Indie Craft Fair Returns to Cornfield Park
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — The Cornfield will once again host hundreds of the best DIY'ers in the country this weekend, as the Renegade Craft Fair returns for its second year in Los Angeles. The roadshow fair also makes stops in Austin, Brooklyn, San Francisco and Chicago.
The fair features hundreds of independent artists selling unique handmade items like jewelry, housewares, prints, ceramics and stationary. There will also be an Amoeba Music Shop, live music, photo booth for the kids and food truck court.
Street parking is available at the park, officially known as the Los Angeles State Historic Park, but organizers are encouraging attendees to bike or take public transportation since the event is less than a block away from the Chinatown Station on the Metro Gold Line. Admission is free.
Renegade Craft Fair runs July 24 & 25 from 11am to 7pm.

Parking was really a problem at the Craft Fair. Many people had to find a spot on the side streets by the warehouses. Parents with children had to cross that very dangerous stretch Spring street, with cars whizzing by at 50 mph. There are NO marked crosswalks for pedestrians on Spring Street. It was an accident waiting to happen. I hope the organizers address this in the future.
