Serve the City Serve the City

Looking for some Saturday plans? This Saturday, July 31, one day volunteer event Serve the City will connect those looking to help with 50 opportunities citywide, including several here in Downtown.

Nearby opportunities with spots available include painting at the Salvation Army's Zahn Homeless Shelter, manual labor and admin work at the LA Christian Health Center, physical labor and cleaning at Central City Community Outreach, and gardening at The Jonah Project.

Saturday's event is a followup to the first Serve the City event held in 2009. The events are organized by Hope for LA.
