Water gushes out of 6th street after a water main break between Main and Los Angeles.

A busy block of 6th street was underwater Thursday night as crews worked to stem the flow from a water main break between Main and Los Angeles.

The break took place soon before 8:30pm in a 12-inch cast iron main below the street and led to some business and basement flooding along the block.

Ever the connected ones, Downtown residents took to Twitter to talk about the break and share photos.
