The days are getting shorter, and the shadows are getting longer, but in Downtown the fun never ends. On Saturday, residents and visitors have their pick of three events taking advantage of the change of season.

Autumn Lights LA 2010

The works of over 70 local and international artists will be on display at this multi-media showcase of performances, sculptures, installations, and projections all utilizing the medium of light.

The live soundtrack for this visual feast is supplied by Killsonic, the Ooks of Hazzard, The Toledo Show, and other bands.

Saturday, 7pm - 1am, Pershing Square, additional info

The 72nd annual Chinatown Mid-Autumn Moon Festival

This free community festival utilizes virtually every nook and alley in Chinatown's Central and West Plaza, filling it with some of the best Chinese cultural performers in the country, family friendly activities, dining, art, and shopping.

Shaolin Warriors performing martial arts, acrobatic contortionists, even roaming Lion Dancers. A ping pong tournament for pros and novices will take place in the West Plaza, while KCRW’s Anthony Valadez and guest DJs will keep the rhythm at a dance floor on the Central Plaza.

Presented by the Los Angeles Chinatown Business Improvement District and the Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles.

Saturday, 5pm-12am, 943-951 N. Broadway, more info
