Today is Monday, October 4, and it's a slow week for Downtown items at City Hall. A motion to let construction get under way for Eli Broad's Grand Avenue art museum tops the docket, while discussion of food trucks continues.

MONDAY: Three committees meet.

At Budget & Finance committee is CF 10-0197, a motion to place a reform measure on the March ballot requiring that 2.75% of the city's general fund receipts be kept in a reserve fund for emergencies.

The DWP reform roadshow takes another stop, with a joint meeting of the Rules & Elections and Emergency & the Environment committees to be held at the Port of Los Angeles.

TUESDAY: Council is in session and four committees meet.

At Council, item 11 is CF 10-2274, a motion aimed at helping "brick and mortar" restaurants compete with food trucks. Ideas include lowered business tax, more of "Dine LA" and easier sidewalk seating.

WEDNESDAY: Council returns, as do four committees.

At Council, item 38 is CF 10-1256-S1, a motion requesting that a portion of Lower Grand Avenue be shut down for construction of the Broad Collection museum and parking garage.
