REDCAT hosts "Traditions Engaged," an international festival of classical dance and music from India.

It is the time of year when stages are busy and sport venues begin their transition into Fall. As the Dodgers quietly faded away, missing post-season play, Staples Center saw the Kings and Clippers early in the pre-season. The Lakers are on the road, including games in Europe, and won’t be back home until October 16. Looking ahead some more, the other upcoming big-ticket items at Staples Center will be Shakira on October 23, and teen-heartthrob Justin Bieber on October 25. For locals, all eyes will be on Art Walk next week.

In the meantime, here is a glance at the weekend.
