L.A. Film Festival Announces 2011 Dates

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Film Festival will return Downtown next summer, taking over a chunk of the L.A. Live complex from June 16 to June 26.
The festival made its Downtown move this past summer after 15 years on the westside. Festivities were centered around the entertainment complex's 14-screen Regal Cinemas, with a festival lounge found on the Event Deck.
Submissions will be accepted starting on November 1 and are due by January 14, 2011.
The 2010 festival had a shaky introduction to Downtown, premiering the same night as the Lakers sealed their 16th NBA championship against the Boston Celtics. The night brought chaos to the streets around the L.A. Live complex.
Could the same happen this year? It's too early to say. NBA playoff dates won't be announced until the regular season ends in April.
