DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — A year and a half after opening its doors on 6th street, D-Town Burger Bar on Tuesday evening opened its second location Downtown. The new eatery occupies a portion of the retail space at the Hotel Bristol, on 8th Street between Hill and Olive.
The burger bar's next-door neighbor, the Golden Gopher, tweeted a welcome promotion this morning:
Downtown Burger is finally open next door! Bring in your receipt and trade it for a free game of pool!
Hours at the new D-Town are the same as those at the first one, open until 11pm during the week and until 2:30am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The original locations is one of my favorite places to eat in downtown. I hope the new location does well.

Guest #1- I agree- I love the original place- good burgers, breakfast special all day, and long hours that they stick to. The waitresses and cooks are all very nice too.
I hope the new location is successful- these folks work HARD to make fresh, hot food that is delicious!

Went there yesterday and the food was great. im excited that the hours are the same and its so close to me. We have a lack of cheaper take out food options in that area so its good to see some more.
Also, that block has lots of potential. if someone was to buy the commercial exchange and fix it up, it could be a gold mine.

Love the D-Town Burger Bar. Congrats! I'll be there soon, since this one's a little closer to my apartment.

Yes! Happy to have a good, inexpensive burger closer to South Park. Headed there this weekend!

Went over there tonight. I love the burgers, but above all, it's great to see the bright lights shining onto the sidewalk on a formerly dark street. Sure, Golden Gopher was there for a long while, but it doesn't have the enticing street presence that D-Town Burger does. Now if the building across the street could be rehabbed...
