MONDAY: Three committees meet.

At Budget & Finance committee is CF 10-0600-S46, a proposal to place an excise tax on off-site signage in the City of Los Angeles. The report estimates that a 12% tax would generate approximately $24 million annually.

The Rules & Elections and Energy & Environment committees continue their road show to talk about DWP issues, meeting this evening at East Valley High School in North Hollywood.

TUESDAY: Council and two committees meet.

At Council, item 23 is continued consideration of CF 08-0923-S7, a motion that would change the wording of the city's governance of medical marijuana collectives to allow ownership changes where at least one owner or manager has stayed the same.

At Information Technology & Government Affairs is CF 08-2591, a motion to execute a $505,000 one-year extension to the Los Angeles Cable Television Access Corporation's contract to operate channel 36 for the city.

At Planning & Land Use Management is CF 10-2298, a motion aimed at creating ways for artists to stay in their homes in the Arts District.

WEDNESDAY: Council meets, as do three committees.

At Housing, Community & Economic Development is CF 10-2458, a CRA program to spend $250,000 on "Cultural Medallions and Gateway Markers" in Little Tokyo, and CF 10-2459, a motion to spend $100,000 to do the same program in the Central Industrial district.
