A pair of political rallies will take place Downtown on Monday morning, one day before statewide elections.

At 10am, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will headline a rally against Proposition 27, a measure that would eliminate redistricting changes that Schwarzenegger backed two years ago. The rally, which will include the Chamber of Commerce, the ACLU and the AARP, will take place on City Hall's south steps.

At 11:30am, a group of Democrats led by gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown will hold a "Get Out the Vote" rally outside the Central Library. Lieutenant governor candidate Gavin Newsom and Sen. Barbara Boxer are also expected to attend, as is Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
