Advance tickets for Cirque du Soleil's upcoming "Michael Jackson 'The Immortal' World Tour" go on sale this Saturday, including a stop at Staples Center on January 27th, 2012.

After the Beatle's "Love" and "Viva Elvis," it seemed only a matter of time before Cirque du Soleil would tackle a show inspired by the King of Pop, and it's only appropriate that the show be staged at Staples Center. Jackson had used the venue to rehearse for his "This Is It" tour before his death in June, 2009, and was also where his public memorial was held two weeks later. The televised service was seen by 31 million viewers, and Staples was filled with fans from around the world who received tickets through an online lottery.

The Immortal is being written and directed by choreographer Jamie King, taking place "in a fantastical realm where we discover Michael’s inspirational Giving Tree—the wellspring of his creativity." King has previously directed tour productions for Madonna, Rihanna, Britney Spears, and Elton John.

Tickets can be purchased by the general public thru Ticketmaster beginning Saturday, November 6th at noon. Members of Cirque du Soleil's "Cirque Club" can order tickets in an exclusive pre-sale now until then.
