Councilman Eric Garcetti, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Dodgers Owner Frank McCourt, County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Metro Board Chairman Ara Najarian and Councilman Ed Reyes pose with a check to cover Dodger Stadium transit service back in March.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers may not have had all that successful of a season, but Metro is pleased with the results of its Dodger Stadium Express.
According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the shuttle service from Union Station carried 117,523 passengers during its year in operation.
The line was funded by a $300,000 grant aimed at supporting air quality. According to the release, 60 percent of riders used transit to access the shuttle service.
Despite the success, a return in 2011 remains dependent on securing new funding.

McCourt can spend $300,000 of the team's funds to pay for his haircuits, travel, and son's employment even though one works for Goldman Sachs, yet he can't provide this basic service for Dodger fans?
It's time for this classless act to get out of ownership.
