AEG and Delta today announced that the airline would become the thirteenth founding partner for Staples Center, an official partner of the Grammy Museum and the official airline of the L.A. Kings.

The company last month announced a deal to become the official airline of the Lakers for the 2011-2012 NBA season.

While the announcement is centered around Staples Center, Delta will also gain signage throughout the L.A. Live complex. While the price tag for the five-year deal was not announced, the L.A. Times speculates that sponsors pay approximately $3 to $5 million per year.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and First Deputy Mayor Austin Beutner are scheduled to attend the noon announcement on L.A. Live's Target Terrace to speak about Delta's decision to focus the April issue of its in-flight Sky Magazine on Los Angeles.
