Trooper Johnson of the NWBA's Golden State Road Warriors gives instruction on shooting form during a youth clinic at the Alpine Recreation Center in Chinatown.

Stars from the National Wheelchair Basketball Association will take the court on Thursday in a contest that pits East versus West, but on Wednesday evening both sides were at Chinatown's Alpine Recreation Center working together to share their love for the game with three dozen L.A. youth who have lower limb impairments.

The young athletes got to watch a scrimmage between the two sides before it was their turn to join in. Four stations gave them the chance to work on shooting, passing, dribbling and chair-handling.

NBA legends A.C. Green and Darryl Dawkins and WNBA players Katie Smith and Candice Dawkins joined the NWBA All-Stars in the instruction.

Thursday's 13th annual NBA/NWBA All-Star Wheelchair Classic will take place at the L.A. Convention Center, part of the NBA's All-Star Jam Session festivities. The game will take place at 6pm.
