Services for Los Angeles Firefighter Glenn L. Allen will take place Downtown at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on Friday morning, impacting commute routes through the Civic Center.

Allen, a 36-year veteran of the L.A. Fire Department, died from injuries suffered when a ceiling collapsed on him and five other firefighters who were fighting a February 16 blaze.

At 8:30am, a procession will lead from the City Hall South Lawn to the Cathedral, where a 9:30am funeral service will take place.

Starting at 6am, Temple Street will be closed between Los Angeles Street and Grand Avenue. Main Street will be closed between 2nd and Temple, while Hill Street will be closed between 1st and Ord.
