The city's new Bicycle Plan, the development of the Wilshire Grand hotel and the salaries paid to department general managers are among the items on the agendas at City Hall this week.

MONDAY: Only the Ad Hoc River committee meets at City Hall. Budget & Finance takes its annual budget roadshow to the Exposition Park Intergenerational Community Center for a 6:30pm meeting.

Councilman Dennis Zine wants to know how much the city spent on travel in the 2009-2010 fiscal year. CF 09-3011-S1 asks for a review of expenditures and a moratorium on most non-reimbursed travel.

TUESDAY: Council and two committees meet.

Planning reports from the Arts District BID (CF 09-0128) and the Downtown Center BID (10-0273) are at Council.

The city's updated Bicycle Plan heads to Council as CF 10-2385, CF 10-2385-S1 and CF 10-2385-S2.

Los Angeles has its eyes on the City of Vernon. CF 10-1686, which is at Council, asks that city staff start discussions with Vernon over the possibility of an annex, while at the same time supporting state legislation that would force the city to be disolved.

The $930 million contract between the City and CRA is again on the Council agenda as CF 11-0086. The item has been continued weekly since it first showed up on January 18.

Tours of the L.A. River are getting more popular, and the city wants to make sure they're given the proper legal standing. At Council, CF 11-0275 would allow the Bureau of Engineering to issue entry permits to tour operators.

The Wilshire Grand redevelopment project again comes to Planning and Land Use Management after being continued last week. Discussion on the item, CF 11-0106, continues to revolve around signage rights for the project.

WEDNESDAY: Council meets, as do the Personnel committee and the Housing, Community & Economic Development committee.

The Wilshire Grand project is at Council, via a motion by Councilwoman Jan Perry asking for a report on whether any lack of resources is holding up the entitlement process. CF 09-2540-S2 says that the project must be fully entitled by the end of March to remain viable.

At Personnel committee, CF 11-0198 is a motion by Council President Eric Garcetti asking for a review of the salaries paid to department general managers and assistant general managers compared to what those in other cities are making.
