Future plans for parking, Broadway streetscape and consolidation between city departments are among the items on the agendas at City Hall this week.

MONDAY: It's a busier Monday than normal, with Public Safety committee and a joint meeting of the Budget & Finance and Transportation committees holding sessions at City Hall and two meetings taking place elsewhere in the city.

A joint meeting of Jobs and Business Development committee and the Trade, Commerce and Tourism committee started off the day down in San Pedro. The topic was the economic impact of the Japanese earthquake on Los Angeles.

Back at City Hall, future parking needs will be detailed as part of a five-year operations and maintenance plan for the Special Parking Revenue Fund. The item, CF 10-0596, goes to a joint meeting of Budget & Finance committee and Transportation committee.

Budget and Finance meets again in the evening out in Glassell Park to talk about the upcoming budget.

TUESDAY: Council meets, as do three committees.

March election results get adopted at Council in CF 11-1100.

WEDNESDAY: Council returns, again with three committees.

The L.A. Streetcar project and homeless services both get funding from tax increment money under CF 11-0329-S1, which goes to Housing, Community and Economic Development. The Streetcar funds will fulfill part of CRA's $10 million commitment.

Also at committee is CF 10-1271-S1, a motion to extend and add money to the Broadway streetscape contract.

The 2009 vacation of Broadway Place will get reaffirmed at Council as CF 08-2488. The move will add significant land to a private parking lot near Broadway and Olympic that has been torn up for construction since last summer.

Possible consolidation betweeen the city's Transportation and Public Works departments will be discussed at Public Works committee under CF 09-0600-S165.
