DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Arts District-based painter, sculptor and mixed media installation artist Robert Reynolds is teaming with Angel City Brewing and Los Angeles Downtown Arts District Space (LADADspace) to raise funds for the Japanese Red Cross Society’s earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.
Works on sale by Reynolds will be exhibited through April 10 at the Angel City Brewing Gallery. 100 percent of the profits will be donated to the Red Cross, says Tim Keating, boardmember of LADADspace.
Reynolds, an established artist and long time resident of the Arts District, will offer oil and acrylic paintings composed "by assemblage of reeds and other flora encased in a silky blackness."
The weeklong benefit will include a special reception on April 7 featuring the artist and members of the neighboring Little Tokyo community from 7 to 11pm.
Angel City Brewery's in-house gallery, located at 217 S. Alameda, will be open Thursday and Friday from 5pm to 11pm, Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 11pm.
