DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Downtowners get another chance to join the Broadway 100 celebration on Thursday, July 14, by participating in the Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation's sidewalk tours during the Downtown Art Walk.
Participants will get to learn the stories of the largest collection of historic theaters outside of New York City and discover the secrets of the 1913 Morosco Theatre, now adaptively re-used as the 740 Club.
Tours begin at 6:30 & 7:00 pm on the mezzanine level of Clifton’s Cafeteria at 7th and Broadway. A slide show featuring Broadway’s historic theatres begins at 6:00 pm and runs continuously till the last tour departs.
The LAHTF invites participants to come early, bring a tray and enjoy dinner while learning about one of L.A.’s magnificent treasures.
Update (July 8): The LAHTF has had to cancel this month's tours, so we've pulled the signup form. Visit their website to learn about future plans.
